Gemstone guide · For everyone
Irani Firoza is natural turquoise from Iran, prized for over 2,000 years, especially from the Neyshabur mines.
In Indian astrology it is linked with Jupiter and Venus, and unlike most gemstones it can be worn by anyone.
Why people wear Firoza
- Protection from the evil eye (nazar) and negativity
- Good luck and success
- Confident communication and a calmer mind
These are traditional beliefs, not guarantees.
Who can wear it?
Anyone, regardless of zodiac sign, age, gender or religion. It is a popular first gemstone and gift.

Irani, American and “African” turquoise
- Irani (Persian): the traditional choice in Indian astrology
- American: natural turquoise mined in the United States
- “African turquoise”: a trade name for a blue-green jasper, not true turquoise
Care
Turquoise is porous and fairly soft (5–6 Mohs). Keep it away from water, oils, perfume and chemicals, which can change its colour over time.
How we list Firoza
Each loose Firoza shows its carat weight, ratti and GT stone ID and comes with a lab certificate.
