Birthstone or astrological gemstone?
Birthstones are chosen only by birth month and are generally worn as jewellery. In Vedic astrology, stones like Neelam, Manik or Panna are chosen from your birth chart, not your birth month. If you plan to wear a stone for astrological reasons, read the rashi ratan guide first.
Gift ideas
A birthstone ring or crystal bracelet makes a personal gift. See the ring size guide if you are buying a ring for someone else.
